SOLUTION TO TANTRA AMISHUTA’S SPIRITUAL PROBLEMS (Giải tỏa khúc mắc tâm linh cho trò Tantra Amishuta)

SOLUTION TO TANTRA AMISHUTA’S SPIRITUAL PROBLEMS (Giải tỏa khúc mắc tâm linh cho trò Tantra Amishuta)

Letter No. 245 to disciples: Solution to Tantra Amishuta’s spiritual problems.

Dear Tantra Amishuta,

I am so touched while reading your email. I understand the miseries you have suffered; the psychological complexity makes you feel remorse. But you should not worry because every problem has been solved in some ways, from partly to completely. Now, based on the wisdom of Buddha, on the supernatural power of Yidam, Padmasambhava, Dakini, I would like to explain and clarify your problems.

In theory, I realized that you did not comprehend the four principles of Tantric Buddhism, as follows:

1 / Do not consider things as a failure.

2 / Blessing or downfall is all the blessings from the yidam

3/ If blessing is grateful, downfall is purification of bad karma, both are spiritual experiences.

4 / Divine Pride

Liên Hoa Đài in Song Nguyen Tantra House

From this reference, if we contemplating on the true meaning of the four above principles, your problems are easily resolved. However, in order to help you have deep understanding about them and stabilize your faith in Guru, Buddha, I will make clarification on each problems you mentioned and give solution to your problems.

1 / Nightmares with violent scenes every night is one of the four types of purification in Tantric Buddhism. It is a good news for those who practice Yoga of Mind Purification. Suppose that you got in debt and you do not have enough money to pay off. So the nightmare is a form of payment for bad karma in the past life or present life. Congratulations! Previously when you did not practice the Dharma, you got nightmares which were considered a consequence of psychoanalytic disorder, now your nightmares are called purification of negative karma because you are a yogi who practices Tibetan Yoga. You should listen to my audio lectures every night. Although you cannot understand, you will get good result like the case of  Akshay Kumar from India who has recently treated his insomnia successfully (please read “Solution to spiritual problems of Akshay Kurma”).

2/ Instead of being worried, overwhelming sadness or being plagued by feelings of worthlessness (stuck in ego), you should finish your daily work. Regarding your difficulties in finances, you should think of the Buddha’s teachings “Contentment is the greatest wealth” (please read “Rich – Poor”). You should think deeply that what you have at present is much better than those who are homeless, wandering. Why should you not think about what you have and feel grateful for it? And think about wild animals, how can they find a shelter from the rain or sun? how can they enjoy food as the same way as a human beings? How can they use languages to express their suffering to get others’ help? So you are considered to be the happiest because you are a human being, you have an opportunity to practice the Dharma, to learn from the Guru and to be a member of Song Nguyen Tantra House. You should read more and comment more when you have free time in order that you can accumulate merit which was lost in the past. By practicing this way, one day the poor will leave you in a gentle way and you will have a comforatble life. (Please read “how to stop worrying and start living”).

3 / In your current situation, both life and religion, you should care for yourself and your family, you should not care about society and practice Bodhicitta. You do not rise a divine pride within you because your mind is immersed with the old thoughts, just like a drunk guy cannot control himself, and have no distinguish the others. You should be mindful and grateful for 18 freedoms and advantages you have as a human being. (please read “divine pride” and “the worldly wind of praise and blame”

Finally, I give you an advice that you should not “buy coal” and “sell coal” (complain) any more, because the Lord Buddha taught that a human being has 8 types of suffering including: (1)The suffering of birth, (2) old age, (3) illness, (4) death, (5) encountering what is unpleasant, (6) separation from what is pleasant, (7) not getting what you want and (8) the five appropriated aggregates. I would like to ask you some questions:

1/Have you got any serious illness?

2/Have you got old like me?

3/ Have you been always encountering what or who is unpleasant?

4/ Have you got in the situation that you have to live far away from one who you love so much?

5/ Have you got heart attack or high blood pressure?

As I know, you get suffering of “not getting what you want”, now you have understand, so you should not desire. Then you will not suffer from anything. You should not think that you do not dare to ask me because you have not done anything good to Guru and Song Nguyen Tantra House. You read and comment diligently. It is you have done good things for Song Nguyen Tantra House. You are the example of a diligent practitioner for every learner to follow. In addition, I myself keep the percept No.42 of Bodhicitta vow “working for the welfare of one’s circles of friends, students, employees, helpers”. Therefore, your questions help me practice this percept. You should avoid complaining too much about your life.

I hope you understand what I explain, clarify and change your thought with right understand and right mindfulness for a better life.

Om Mani Padme Hum.

Here is Tantran Amisuta‘s email:

Dear Holy Guru,

I am grateful to be your learner and have a good opportunity to read and comment every day. I feel stronger and more peaceful to connect with you. Through your articles, I find that Buddhism is my only right way to follow in order that I can free from suffering and get the true happiness

However, I myself live in a very far country from you, in United Sates of America. I sometimes find it difficult in practicing the Dharma because of my bad karma. I planned to write to you many times but I did not dare because I know I myself do not do any good things to you and Song Nguyen Tantra House. In addition, you are so busy with teaching many other learners. Today, my problems make me scared, I try my best to write email to you. If I write something wrong, please forgive me and correct me. Thank you so much, dear Holy Guru.

I have suffered from mental illness for a long time, since I was teenager. I would like to need your help to solve some problems as following:

1, I am having nightmares that are violent for years. It makes me unable to sleep peacefully every night. I often wake up in the state of scared feelings. I feel suffered too much.

2, I am stuck with my ego. I think much about my problem, about my life and about my suffering. Because I am having difficulties in finance now. I do not know how to break my ego. Depression is growing making life difficult and finances are very difficult.

3, I want to help others but feel unworthy and my attachment to things are causing problems. Please help me free from such bad thoughts and problems.

Thank you so much for reading my email. I highly appreciate your dedication and your compassion to all sentient beings. It is you, the holy Guru who pay attention to all sentient beings who are suffering too much in this Saha world like me. I am grateful for being your learner. May you and your consort have a good health and live long for the sake of all beings. May all sentient beings free from suffering and its causes.

Om Mani Padme Hum.

Your learner,

Tantra Amisutra – Jennifer.

  3. C H Lakshminarayan says:
Respected Guruji, I bow my head at the lotus feet of Guruji.

    I am Tantra Nirvadeva.

It is really  great of our beloved Guruji that he takes personal in giving individual interest and giving solutions to the problems of the desciples. One such example is letter no. 245. He advises in this letter to contemplate on the following 4- principles :

1.Do not consider things as a failure.

2.Blessing or downfall  is all the blessings from  Yidam.

    3. If  blessings is greatfully  downfall is purification of bad Karmas, both are Spiritual experiences..

    4.Devine pride.

Usually, when we think of a Guru,  It comes to our mental picture a man with a long beard and moustache with minimum clothes on his body sitting in a secluded place like mountain or a hill or an Ashram of their own  meditating  and meditating and nothing else but meditation with out much Attachment to Samsara or worldly affairs ! Not going deep into the personal life activities of the desciples, of course, monitoring their cultivation of Dharma practices.

As cobreast to this, here is our Ambulatory beloved Guruji, trimmly dressed with hat and boot appearing like a common layman ( not wearing even saffron robes) but highly proficient in Buddhist teachings and Dharma Practices which is highly commendable !

It is to note,  it is not the appearance or dessert that counts but it is Bodhicitta and Wisdom of Buddha which is of prime importance in the Spiritual field as is the example of our beloved Guruji! Hats off to you Guruji !Om Mani Padme Hum.

Long live our beloved Guruji for upholding Dharma.

    Dr C H Lakshminarayan.

  9. Neerajkumar Sumaranji says:
    Dear Respected Dhamma Guru,

Thank you for wonderful guidance by this article. While reading this useful article, I suddenly remembered the lecture of Hon. Dalai Lama XIV the teachings are very similar.

Everyday, think as we wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it, I am going to use all my energies to develop myself to expand my heart to others to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others as much I can.

Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength, no matter what sort of difficulties are, how painful experience is, If we lose our hope, that’s our real disaster.

If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that we can do something about it, then there is no need to worry, If its not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.

This is our simple religion, there is no need for temples or complicated philosophy. Our own brain & our heart is our temple & the philosophy is kindness.

There is only one important point you must keep in your mind & let it be your guide. No matter what people call you, you are just who you are. Keep to this truth. “We live & we die.” This is the truth that we can only face alone. No one can help us not even the Buddha. So consider carefully what prevents your from living the way you want to live your life.

If we cultivate the right attitude, our enemies are our best spiritual teachers because their presence provides us with the opportunity to enhance and develop tolerance, patience & understandings.

Thank you very much again Dhamma Guru.

May Buddha Dhamma Sangha bless you all.

    Yours,

    Neerajkumar Sumaranji.

Dear holy guru. Thank you for your article and share your knowledge for us. I read this article with gratitude and it helps me to see how important and valuable the practice of bodhicitta is, as well as enriching knowledge and strengthening our minds for the benefit of all. I know this form of suffering, which was marked by anxious dreams or nightmares. I could not say where the fear came from and through many of your articles I understood how important the right methodology and practice is to positively stimulate your own thoughts. Today I know that I myself am able to control my thoughts and tame the unrest in the mind through daily meditations. The beginning was unfamiliar and the monkey (as I call it) moved back and forth in the head. But I did not give up and reading your articles brought me the understanding and knowledge that I missed. Reading my books is and has been helpful, but I understand that only through you, Holy Guru, with all your articles, examples, and explanations, am I able to do more good and make everyday life richer. I have abandoned old patterns of behavior and my daily mediation and reading of your articles help me in the hectic pre-Christmas season. Thank you for your patience holy guru. I know I still have a lot to learn. The Buddhist way is clear and not complicated. It is the best of philosophy and religion when we have realized what suffering is and how we can work to free ourselves from suffering. Only we ourselves can read and learn your wise articles in own responsibility, pray practice, recite and meditate. Good deeds do it for the benefit of all. May all succeed on the path to enlightenment. May all be free from suffering. May our holy Guru life long for the sake of being sent. May all beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature. • Tantramikaya ( Jane) says:
Thank you so much dear holy Guru for your reply and for the Dharma Teaching and your examples for better understanding for me. I consider your Dharma Teaching a very valuable and rich way to better understand the Buddhist path and to practice in my daily life. It is good to grow in learning. For that I am very grateful to you holy Guru. My environment confirmed to me that I am more calm and I feel like the peace is good because of the insights that we choose what thoughts we have and many of your articles help me to transform myself. Fear is always something that inhibits and paralyzes us humans and the fear limits us to open ourselves. After every little fear and the thought came new anxious thoughts and to get rid of this fear when the environment stirs fears was not an easy task for me. But I worked on it and am grateful to have found a great teacher like you with understanding and wise methodology. I respect, respect and trust you, our holy Guru, and wish you a long and fulfilling life. May all beings be happy and free from suffering.

    Dear Holy Guru,

I’m Mật Hồng Quang. After reading the “Letter No. 245 to disciples: Solution to Tantra Amishuta’s spiritual problems” I understand more about the four principles of Tantric Buddhism:

    1) Do not consider things as a failure

    2) Blessing or downfall is all the blessings from the yidam

    3) If blessing is grateful, downfall is purification of bad karma, both are spiritual experiences.

    4) Divine Pride

Therefore, I feel happier and get calmer with the ups and downs in my life, especially when I have to face bad things. I understand that each moment in my life as a human being is so valuable, and each opportunity to practice the Dharma, to be a member of Song Nguyen Tantra House is a merit.

    Dear Tantra Amishuta,

Actually, I found myself sometimes and somehow in your situation with violent nightmares, financial difficulty, … However, in the nightmares I was getting calmer and tried to think about what I had learnt from our beloved Guru’s teaching. In such terrible nightmares, I just closed my eyes with calmness or tried to find out what was wrong in comparison with the knowledge I had learnt from chanhtuduy.com, then everything became fine after all. Thanks to our Holy Guru, we can have precious opportunities to study and have better understanding of the true meaning of Buddha’s teachings with a suitable and effective method. This is just my sharing, hope you will feel better and have a happier life from the beginning of changing your mind.

May our Guru and his consort have good health and live long for the sake of sentient beings.

May all sentient beings be free from suffering and get enlightened.

    Dear Holy Guru,
Today is the Christian holiday Christmas. In the Christian religion, they celebrate
the birth of Jesus Christ who is said to be the son of God. As the ages have grown,
the celebration has added fictitious or not so fictitcious figures such as Santa
Clause, Who is named after a true Christian saint, named Saint Nicholas. He was a
very religious fourth-century bishop of Myra who was very faithful to his religion.
Soon the celebration of Saint Nicolas became saint Nick ( Santa Claus ) giving
presents to all those who were good boys and girls.
The Roman Catholics believed that Mary, the mother of God, was impregnated by
God himself and had immaculate conception. Carrying the son of God and raising
him as a carpenter with her husband Joseph. Believing that Mary was born without
    sin.
Hispanic Catholics celebrate, the feast of our Lady of Guadalupe, A poor girl
visited by the Virgin Mary near what is now called Mexico City.
Those who follow the Jewish religion celebrate Haunakkah, which begins on
sunset and continues seven more nights. They often exchange gifts each night of
Haunakkah. One gift per night and light a candle each night. It is celebrating the
miracle of the oil that should have only been enough to light for one night that
lasted 8 nights. It commemorates the effort to restore the temple in Jerusalem.
There is the celebration of Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, as well.
This is also called Yule. That is where the Yule log comes from. Many Pagan
religions lit the Yule log and other fires to celebrate the coming heat and longer
    days to follow.
Buddhists, as you know, celebrate Bodhi Day earlier in the month. Buddhist recall
when Siddhartha Gautama sat under a tree in India, vowing to stay there until
    enlightened.
These are the holiday’s I’ve become aware of with my research. I find with all of
them that they have all grown into big celebrations where family and friends come
together to celebrate. Today that is what I’m going to do. I will be meeting my
niece for the first time in 16 years, celebrating with my mother, my mother and
father in law, my middle daughter, her boyfriend, my son and my husband.
When I was younger and my grandmother was alive, I remember the big
gatherings of friends and family around my grandmother’s dining room table. I
remember laughter and joy and music playing while we shared a meal. I remember
my grandmother giving hugs and kisses and making everyone feel welcome and
    loved.
To me, not being Christian any longer, I have taken what my Catholic grandmother
taught me, and work to make everyone feel loved and cared for during the holiday
season. I’m not sure if this is true everywhere, but in the USA, Christmas has
become very commercialized. It’s become all about presents and money. Even

when I was celebrating as a Christian, I did not agree with this and started my own
tradition where Christmas was about being together as friends and family, having a
good meal and just being together. I would not give gifts out for Christmas but
rather during another holiday which is celebrated in the USA, Thanksgiving. I
would give presents to show my thanks for my friends and family during
Thanksgiving and just have a meal for Christmas.
This year, as a Buddhist, I am cherishing my time with my family. I am thinking
about all of those around the world without family or friends and am so grateful for
what I have. I try to do good things for those I come in contact with. I spread a
smile or some peace and cheer. I will think of each and every living being out there
today while I spend time with my family. I will send love to each of them and fill
my heart with the love of family and send it to all of those across the globe. My
Christmas tradition is sending love to all those who need it, and to be honest, who
doesn’t need it? My Christmas celebration hasn’t changed much since learning
Buddhism, except to include all sentient beings from a more heart filled place and
    more understanding.
Looking out of the window, I see snow falling down and covering everything. It
makes everything become white and cold. Every snowflake holds themselves with
cold and unpleasant and then brings cold, suffering to others. Likewise, a human
being lives with his ignorance greed and selfishness makes a lot of snowflakes
within. It is a snowflake of ignorance greed and selfishness which causes the bad
karma. You reap what you sow. Of course, bad karmas lead to unhappiness. It is
    the nature.
The light of Buddhist’s Bodhichitta and Wisdom from the Holy Guru has shone on
our hearts and minds to illuminate them. The snowflakes do not keep coldness
anymore. They get into the light of Guru’s Bodhichitta and wisdom and create the
warmth cover all over the world and pacify all beings’ suffering. As the teaching of
    Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche:
“To do something virtuous with a commonplace motive will certainly bring us
some happiness, but only temporarily. Such happiness will soon be gone, and our
helpless roaming in samsara will continue. If, on the other hand, everything we do,
say, and think is transformed by bodhichitta, our happiness will go on and on
increasing and never be exhausted. The fruit of actions motivated by bodhichitta,
unlike that of positive actions done with less noble motives, can never be destroyed
by anger or other negative emotions.”
And I understand that I am living a meaningful life with the teaching of the Holy
Guru on the path to enlightenment. I live and practice the Dharma for the benefit of
self and others. I have found the ultimate goal of my life. It is to practice the
Dharma for the liberation of mine and others’.

The bell ringing outside signifies the beginning of the Christmas day coming. This
year, I spend the Christmas day with the balanced mind and enjoy the life. I never
kept the fear or blind faith in any Gods. I know I myself decide my fate and my
life. Just like the traveler with deep gratitude to the wonderful the ship’s pilot on
the path to the city of liberation, I am so happy with what I have on this Buddhist
    path.
So Holy Guru, I wish for you, All of your followers on Channtudhy.com, and all
sentient beings everywhere to have a very Merry Christmas with balanced mind
and enjoy the every joyful moment at present.
May Holy Guru have a good health and live long for the sake of all sentient beings.
And may all sentient beings free from the cling of the self and may your teachings
spread all over the world and loose the bands of fear, greed, ignorance
    which bind all sentient beings
May all sentient beings have a good chance to go on the wonderful path to
liberation under the true Guru’s guidance.
    Om Mani Padme Hum.
