MY FIRST MEETING GURU

MY FIRST MEETING GURU

I’ve known my guru through the co-religionist, Mat Kinh, as friend that I’ve known for not too long. I still remember that Mat Kinh and I went out for a drink and I was told a little about her Guru. Without the slightest hesitation, I expressed my looking forward to meeting him.Right a day after, I had a good chance to meet my Guru at Tantra’s House (Mat Gia Song Nguyen). In front of me is my Guru having a kind and upright appearance in a simple religious suit, with pepper-and-salt hair and a kind-hearted face, together with the brothers of Mat Gia Song Nguyen. Sitting down, I talked with them in a harmonious and cozy atmosphere.

On 18th August, 2013, I was initiated into Buddhism with religious name Mat Tu. My co-religionists as well as me have been given Buddhistic discourses staggered with real stories, sometimes with jokes, which makes a newcomer like me never feel dull, but more and more attracted.

MY VENERABLE GURU

However, what makes me so moved that I write down these words. Despite his age, my Guru has been spending most of his precious spare time to research and teach us. Take a look at a typical teacher like me, only after a one-hour class, I always feel tired together with a sore throat and sometimes with buzzed ears because of having to talk all the time; let alone continuous two or four hours as my Guru has done. We’re all grateful for your enthusiasm and noble merit. Thank to your help, we ourselves can see with our own eyes so many wonderful things, both in the monasteries and outside life. At last, Mat Tu pray for Guru to have a good health to help us go on the path of mindfulness. Also thank Mat Thuy very much for teaching me how to make clothes and all the co-religionists for giving me a warm family. Wish you all the best.
