Have finished the first Dharma’s meeting : AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY (Kết thúc lần vân tập đầu tiên của Mật gia Mỹ quốc: MỘT NGÀY KHÔNG QUÊN)

Dear Holy Guru,
On the 29th of August was the special day for me and I have never forgot it. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting with Dharma brothers for our first meeting online thanks to Guru’s compassion and wisdom. It was an amazing experience connecting with others in different stages of their journey toward liberation. I had waited for this Dharma meeting for long because we hardly meet a Buddhist practitioner in the USA, where Buddhism is not the main practice for US citizens. It is an incredible idea to organize the online Sangha – Song Nguyen Tantra House in the USA – for all American learners to share their own experiences and practice so that we are able to move forward on the path of enlightenment. From now on, we have our Dharma home in the USA under Guru’s guidance and compassion. I can feel clearly there is no distance between Guru and disciples or learners in this special occasion.

Last night, I could not sleep, I was so excited to join the meeting. I made alarm to make sure that I did not miss it. I even told Violet to remind me an hour before the meeting started. Although I was not well enough, I was a bit under weather, I told myself to stay mindful about the meeting. The excitement about the meeting and especially, the blessings from Guru helps me be healthy during the meeting.

The topic of the meeting draws me much interest. Most of us in the USA connect Buddhism through meditation. Meditation seems to be attractive for all of us. More importantly, how to understand the nature of meditation and how to practice 24/7. As the teaching or Master Marpa Lotsawa goes “apart from three sessions of practice in the holy space, the yogi practice Dharma uninterruptedly in daily life, like a non-stop flowing river. This is called mind purification that free us from ignorance. Non-distraction means meditation”

I enjoyed having the gift of being allowed to “compare notes” and bounce ideas off of one another. We spoke a lot about meditation last night. I have found there are differences in how each of us meditate and finding the way that works best for us individually. It is good to know that what the common misconception of what and how meditation should be practiced isn’t always the best way to achieve bodhicitta if the practice is unable to be completed the way it was instructed. As far as I know Bodhicitta is one of the most important factors for the practitioners on the path of enlightenment. As the saying of the Buddha in Lotus sutra that “all good actions not originating from Bodhicitta are wrong view”. And meditation is only one out of ten activities, meditation is not the most important factor, it is only one of some means to get wisdom and merit. If the practitioners do wrong, and cling to meditation only, they cannot develop the wisdom and bodhicitta, how can they get free from sufferings? What we need is the right methods, the easy and effective methods to move forward on the path of enlightenment.

This was a relief to me. With many medical issues it can be difficult for me to do walking and sitting meditation in those two methods for me personally. But I am able to meditate and pray with each thing I do, integrating all daily activities with practicing Dharma through 16 prayers guided by Guru in the goal of enlightenment and benefit all sentient beings. Some easy prayers like as follows:

When drinking, pray that “may all sentient beings absorb the Buddha’s amrita
When close the door, pray that “may all sentient beings close the door of the lower realms….
I have realized how easy (besides my memory issues) it is to meditate and pray all day with every little or big thing I do. I was even given wonderful suggestions from Robert Clayton how to assist myself with the memory issues. Thank you, Robert.

I appreciate everyone attending last night and sharing when they were able. I look forward to meeting with these other learners at our next meeting. I learned a lot about dharma and about those I am learning with.

Tantra Amishuta

Thank you for allowing these meetings to be blessed by you.
May you be well for the sake of all sentient beings.
May all sentient being attain the happiness of the Buddha’s nature.
May covid 19 pandemic end soon.
Om mani padmne hum

Your devoted learners,

      Dear Guru!
How delighted I am when I read this article. Thanks to Guru’s compassion and widom, the first online Dhrama meeting of the US Sangha was complete success. The Tantra Amishuta’shares make me happy and moved because under the care of Guru, the special meeting conected people who are far away in US to praise Dhrama. I am aware of that it was not easy to organize this event. I also understand that the advantages of Thanh Tri yoga helps learners not only practice easily but also gain extremely benifits.
May Thanh Tri yoga spread everywhere to all predestined beings.
May Guru have good health and live long for the sake of sentient beings.
Mấy sentient beings achieve the happiness of Buddha’s nature.
May Covid pademic soon come to an end.

Happy to all comments…I was very encouraged by the group sharing. I am grateful to Guru for presenting Lotus Walking, it has become an important part of my personal practice…Whether sitting, walking, eating or singing…these activities with the Right thought can be Enlightening…Whether we call it contemplating or meditating, my teachers have pointed me to the space between thought and the longer I stay in that space the meaningful any activity becomes. May all Brothers and Sisters meet in the space between thought. Om Mani Padme Hum

    Dear Holy Guru,.
Permit me to comment on this letter by Tantra Amishutra titled:Have finished the First Dharma Meeting:An Unforgettable Day.
1.The day was 29 th August,2021.The country was USS.
2.This was the First on-line meeting of the USA Sangha recently approved and supervised by our beloved Guru.
3.Tantra Amishutra’s excitement is unimpeded as she asked Violet to keep reminding her of the date and time of the meeting.
4.Our Dharma friend was extremely delighted to be involved in learning the ropes of Meditation even from a distance.
4She enjoyed the interaction and the opportunity to compare notes on such topics as Buddhichitta and Meditation.
5.She appreciated the importance of Meditation as one of the ten ways to earn Merits.
6.She appreciated further that Meditation without Buddhichitta would be inhibited and that it is important to conform to Right Meditation.
7.Nevertheless, because of her rigorous daily routine, she said that she might not be disposed to practice sitting and standing Meditation.Instead, she would Integrate and weave in Meditation in all her daily 24 – hour activities.
8.An examples of such integrations she opined that when drinking she would utter:May all sentient beings absorb Buddha’s amrita
Similarly, when closing a door she would utter: May all sentient beings close the door of the Lower Realms.

On the whole, the author was grateful to the Guru for putting this Sangha in place. She is both excited and enthusiastic.
I join to congratulate our Holy Guru,to congratulate Violet the moderator, to congratulate Tantra Amishutra.
I may add , nevertheless, that not much would be lost if she practices the sitting Meditation thirty minutes in the morning and similarly as last thing before going to bed.Such is the path to perfection in Meditation.
I sincerely hope that before long a Sangha will be established by our Guru in Nigeria.
May the Guru ever continue to enjoy good health coupled with Long Life for service to all sentient beings.

Thank you for your comment that is structured in a coherent manner as always. You can just pick up an angle that you found the most impressive to you and elaborate on that point. It will make it easier for you each time you read and comment, as well as to remember the learned lesson for a long time, as it gives you a strong impression. I just added that such meditation for 30 mins in the morning or in the night is not any kind of practice in Song Nguyen Tantra House, and it does not reflect the true meaning of meditation, which is non-stop like a flowing river. I also hope that there will be more and more learners from Nigeria, and you will be able to experience this kind of Dharma meeting at that time. May you learn and benefit more by diligently reading on
